A Department Supervisor is a key member of our store operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of our departments. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide our team members to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of department associates to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Conduct regular store walks to ensure visual merchandising standards are met and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise, to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Train and develop department associates to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and control expenses to achieve budget targets.
- Collaborate with other store leaders to achieve company-wide goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a similar department.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and customer service goals.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role requires standing for long periods, frequent walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
