Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Preferred: Six (6) months of experience in the installation of electronic monitoring equipment or related fields.
  • Experience in the corrections sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic monitoring equipment is essential.
  • Ability to interpret electronic monitoring messages and daily reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Good presentation abilities.
  • Capability to organize and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • A valid driver's license and proficiency in operating a motor vehicle safely.
  • Proficient in using computers and relevant software.

Working Conditions

  • Field installations may involve entering potentially unstable or challenging environments.
  • Frequent local travel is required.
  • Use of standard office equipment, including copiers, computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely for the delivery and installation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Overview

The Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Electronic Monitoring (EM) program for a contracting agency. This role includes orienting participants to program rules as dictated by court orders, installing, servicing, and removing electronic monitoring devices, and reporting any violations as per the agency's contract. The coordinator will also manage program payments from participants, ensuring timely reporting of any non-payments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct the initial intake process for participants, including necessary paperwork and data entry.
  • Facilitate orientation meetings for new participants to explain program rules and ensure understanding of responsibilities.
  • Install and remove EM equipment at agency offices or participant residences following contractual guidelines.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to fulfill contract requirements, ensuring all equipment is operational.
  • May schedule participant activities based on sentencing information and approve temporary changes as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues in the office or at participant locations, collaborating with Monitoring Operations staff as necessary.
  • May conduct drug screenings and breath analyses as required by contract.
  • Verify equipment placement and participant compliance through home and business visits.
  • Collect unused equipment from local correctional facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain field EM equipment, ensuring quality assurance standards are met.
  • Report all program violations to the appropriate agency or official according to established protocols.
  • Generate necessary reports for contract compliance and quality management.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with all program participants.
  • Manage participant payments, ensuring accurate posting and timely reporting of non-payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contracting agency contacts, providing customer service and training as needed.
  • Perform data entry for participant enrollment and updates.
  • May be required to testify in court regarding participant compliance, preparing necessary documentation.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, filing, and ordering supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
