Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Preferred: Six (6) months of experience in the installation of electronic monitoring equipment or related fields.
- Experience in the corrections sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic monitoring equipment is essential.
- Ability to interpret electronic monitoring messages and daily reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with various stakeholders.
- Proficient presentation skills.
- Capability to organize and manage inventory effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
- Field installations may involve entering potentially unstable or challenging environments.
- Frequent local travel is required.
- Use of standard office equipment, including copiers, computers, and telephones.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely for the delivery and installation of equipment.
Overview
The Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Electronic Monitoring (EM) program for a contracting agency. This role includes providing orientation to participants regarding program rules as dictated by court orders, as well as the installation, maintenance, and removal of electronic monitoring devices. The coordinator is also tasked with reporting any violations as per the agency's contract and managing program payments from participants.
Primary Duties
- Conduct the initial intake process for participants, ensuring all paperwork is completed and data is entered into the required systems.
- Facilitate orientation meetings to explain program rules and ensure participants understand their obligations.
- Install and remove EM equipment in accordance with contractual guidelines.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to fulfill contracts efficiently.
- May set schedules for participants based on sentencing information and approve temporary changes as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues both in the office and in participant residences.
- May conduct drug screenings and breath analyses as required by contract.
- Visit participants' locations to verify compliance and equipment placement.
- Collect unused equipment from local correctional facilities.
- Inspect and maintain field EM equipment, ensuring it meets quality assurance standards.
- Report all program violations to the appropriate authorities.
- Generate necessary reports for contract compliance and quality management.
- Conduct regular check-ins with all program participants.
- Manage participant payments and ensure timely reporting of non-payments.
- Build and maintain relationships with contracting agency contacts.
- Perform data entry for participant enrollment and updates.
- May be required to provide testimony in court regarding participant compliance.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
