Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Preferred: Six (6) months of experience in the installation of electronic monitoring equipment or related fields.
- Experience in the corrections sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic monitoring equipment is essential.
- Ability to interpret electronic monitoring messages and daily reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective presentation abilities.
- Capability to organize and manage inventory efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- A valid driver's license and proficiency in operating a motor vehicle safely.
- Competence in using computers and standard software utilized by the department.
- Field installations may involve entering potentially unstable or hostile environments.
- Extensive local travel is required.
- Utilization of standard office equipment such as copiers, computers, keyboards, telephones, and fax machines.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely for the delivery and installation of electronic monitoring equipment.
Summary
The role involves coordinating electronic monitoring services for a contracting agency. This includes providing orientation to participants regarding program rules as mandated by court orders, as well as the installation, maintenance, and removal of electronic monitoring devices. The position also entails reporting any violations as per the agency's contract and managing program payments from participants to prevent negative balances.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates the initial intake process for participants, including preparing necessary documentation and entering data into required systems.
- Conducts orientation sessions for new participants to clarify program rules and ensure understanding of their responsibilities.
- Installs and removes electronic monitoring equipment at agency offices or participant residences in compliance with contractual guidelines.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to fulfill contract requirements, ensuring all equipment is operational and minimizing losses.
- May establish participant schedules and approve temporary changes based on sentencing information, if required by contract.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues in the office or at participant residences, collaborating with Monitoring Operations staff as needed.
- May conduct drug screenings according to a random schedule for participant check-ins, as required by contract.
- May perform breath analysis when necessary for equipment installation or participant check-ins, as required by contract.
- May visit participants' homes, businesses, or treatment locations to verify equipment placement and compliance with program rules, as required by contract.
- Collects unused equipment from local correctional facilities.
- Cleans and maintains field electronic monitoring equipment, inspecting for damage or malfunction and testing according to quality assurance standards.
- Reports all program violations to the appropriate agency or official following established reporting protocols.
- Generates reports as required by the contract and for quality management purposes.
- Conducts regular check-ins with all program participants.
- Handles participant payments, posts transactions in the company database, and makes bank deposits, ensuring timely reporting of non-payments.
- Coordinates additional participant appointments as necessary.
- Builds relationships and provides customer service and training to contacts within the contracting agency.
- Performs data entry online to enroll new participants and update existing participant information for all products and services.
- May be required to testify in court regarding participant compliance with court orders, including preparing necessary documentation.
- May screen participants at correctional facilities for program entry.
- Handles general office administrative tasks, such as answering phones, filing, and ordering supplies as needed, adhering to office protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
