Restaurant Manager

Shaner Hotels, a leading hospitality owner-operator and management company, is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our Toftrees Golf Resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Supervise all aspects of the service Restaurant functions, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Leadership and Development: Develop and implement a service and management philosophy that guides staff and drives excellence in food and beverage operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with General Manager, Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Employee Performance and Development: Manage employee performance, fostering a positive work environment and promoting productivity and growth.
  • Industry Knowledge and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain a competitive edge.
Accountabilities
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Food and Beverage Safety and Quality: Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
  • Standards and Procedures: Establish, maintain, and train standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
  • Guest Relations: Respond to and resolve guest-related issues pertaining to the department.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with General Manager, Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff.
  • Employee Performance Management: Assist in managing all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory / management experience a plus.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Certifications: ServSafe and/or food safety training. Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS). Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
