Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Mechanical Systems, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of advanced naval systems. Your expertise will contribute to the construction and maintenance of U.S. Navy vessels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development to innovate and enhance mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test prototypes, ensuring compliance with engineering principles.
- Lead projects related to the Virginia Class Submarines, focusing on mechanical and structural integrity.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Document findings and present solutions to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of technical issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Advanced degrees and experience in naval construction and propulsion systems are preferred.
