SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER ANALYST

Position Overview:
This role involves the preparation and coordination of strategic plans and timelines for both new and ongoing projects. The successful candidate will assess, monitor, and evaluate costs, operational budgets, and staffing needs. Additionally, the role includes supporting negotiations with clients and analyzing the impact of projects across various sectors such as Engineering and Facilities to identify the most effective and economical methods for resource acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and recommend corrective measures including schedule adjustments, resource reallocations, and funding distributions.
- Collaborate with the Submarine Engineering Advanced Capabilities team to contribute to the development of the next-generation Fast-Attack Submarine, SSN(X).
- Engage with design, engineering, and program office personnel to ensure project alignment and progress tracking.
- Interface with external stakeholders as necessary to fulfill project requirements.

Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree with 4 years of applicable professional experience.
- Equivalent qualifications may include completion of specific military or technical training programs.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing processes, procedures, and checklists.
- Proficiency in tracking project milestones and key performance indicators.
- Familiarity with creating Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for technical initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
