Role Overview:
The Advanced Capabilities team within Submarine Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge submarine technologies. This role involves overseeing multiple engineering projects and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for various materials, including metals and composites.
- Conduct damage tolerance assessments, durability evaluations, and structural modeling.
- Utilize advanced engineering tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, and ProEngineer to support design efforts.
- Present findings and project updates to senior leadership and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program is required, with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. A Master's Degree or Ph.D. with corresponding experience may also be considered.

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with submarine engineering specifications and internal structures.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience in collaborative environments, integrating various ship systems and structural interfaces.
