Position Overview:
The Commercial Banking Specialist is tasked with the proficient management of a designated client portfolio while providing essential support to a dedicated business banking team. This role ensures that customer needs are met efficiently, inquiries are addressed promptly, and operational challenges are resolved effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain detailed profiles of priority clients and keep assigned officers informed of significant developments; assist in nurturing customer relationships.
  • Support the daily administration of credit and loan processes, including monitoring past due accounts, reviewing tickler reports, managing credit extensions, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Review and process documentation related to loan agreements and borrowing arrangements, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Monitor overdraft accounts regularly and communicate findings to assigned officers for necessary approvals.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and prepare new commercial credit files, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation.
  • Prepare and send financial statement requests to clients, gathering all necessary financial documentation to keep records current.
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries regarding loan statuses, billing, and account analyses, conducting thorough investigations as needed.
  • Coordinate with the business banking team to ensure compliance with financial reporting and covenant requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with various internal units to facilitate comprehensive service delivery to commercial clients.
  • Compile data and generate management reports as required.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and proficient time management skills. A solid understanding of banking products, services, and regulations is essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
