Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the promotion and market expansion of SPT Labtech's liquid handling and sample management solutions within the genomics, protein crystallization, and drug discovery sectors in your designated territory.
- Manage all pre-sales activities leading up to purchase orders and support post-sales processes.
- Work independently while closely collaborating with sales specialists, support teams, product management, and marketing departments.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
- Achieve the following objectives:
- Articulate the company’s mission, values, and strategic vision effectively.
- Manage the customer database and develop a comprehensive strategy based on measurable goals.
- Prioritize tasks to meet personal and company objectives efficiently.
- Implement company priorities regarding products and market strategies.
- Develop and track all sales opportunities, balancing various product lines and collaborating effectively with product specialists.
- Establish a consultative relationship with clients, acting as a trusted advisor through a structured approach that gathers insights to propose tailored solutions.
- Position SPT solutions within the context of end-user workflows, clearly communicating the benefits of our offerings using various marketing materials.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of product and service offerings, proposing comprehensive solutions through cross-selling.
- Ensure application knowledge is kept current through available training resources.
- Manage CRM data effectively.
Candidate Profile:
- Located in the San Francisco area with an established network to facilitate sales operations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in capital equipment sales within the Life Sciences sector, particularly with automated liquid handling technologies.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a Life Science discipline; experience in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) within the region.
- Familiarity with CRM systems as a primary sales tool; experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in business development.
- Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of remote work.
