Job Overview:
The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an Education Finance Coordinator to join the Department of Medicine, Office of Education. This role is essential in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Payroll Management: Oversee and administer payroll processes for residents, guaranteeing precise and prompt remuneration.
  2. Reappointment Management: Facilitate the reappointment process for continuing residents in collaboration with OGME and HR.
  3. Financial Analysis: Generate and present financial reports to stakeholders and residency leadership, aiding in strategic decision-making and compliance adherence.
  4. Client Relations: Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues efficiently to support the residency program.

Under the guidance of the Assistant Administrative Director, the Education Finance Coordinator will manage payroll operations, oversee reappointment activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

This position supports faculty and trainees, coordinating all aspects related to the administration of health professions education programs, while contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing program effectiveness and financial viability.


Note:
This is a hybrid position with onsite days to be determined. Salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals in accordance with UC policy. The salary range for this role is $75,700 - $123,100 annually, influenced by experience and internal equity within the position classification at UCSF.

Department Overview:
The Department of Medicine (DOM) is the largest department within the School of Medicine at UCSF, managing an annual budget of approximately $500 million across multiple sites with around 3,000 employees. The DOM represents a significant portion of UCSF's faculty and budget, consistently ranking among the top departments of medicine nationally.

Qualifications Required:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with three or more years of pertinent experience or equivalent training. Familiarity with administrative operations, financial reporting, and human resources policies is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with payroll processing and knowledge of UC Path is advantageous.
