Job Summary
This role encompasses the management of administrative services, which includes finance and human resources activities, and may extend to IT, facilities, or student services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in both long-term and short-term strategic planning to define the mission and guide the operations of various multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management.
- Oversee financial management tasks, providing guidance to faculty and trainees regarding reimbursements and university policies.
- Manage space utilization and audits, along with HR functions, including the onboarding process for new faculty.
Work Environment
This position is hybrid, requiring three days of onsite presence.
Compensation

Department Overview
The Department of Dermatology, part of the School of Medicine, is dedicated to a wide array of responsibilities including patient care, education, research, and public service. It supports medical students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows through various programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in an academic environment.
- Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant.
- Familiarity with UCPath, Bear Buy, PeopleSoft, MyExpense, HBS, and Archibus.
Preferred Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of university regulations, processes, and procedures related to budget, accounting, and personnel management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, active listening, and critical thinking.
- Knowledge of administrative operational activities such as event planning, fundraising, risk management, and compliance with contracts and grants regulations.
