Position Overview:
The Corporate IT – Workplace Technology team is in search of an Audio-Visual Systems Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of conference rooms and specialized AV systems centered around MS Teams.

Key Responsibilities:
This role primarily supports the US-West region from our San Francisco office and plays a vital role in driving our global AV standards.

  • Address escalated AV issues, assist in solution design, and contribute to office buildouts.
  • Engage in AV research and development, providing necessary support within our global support framework.
  • Enhance team efficiency, service delivery, and the overall end-user experience.

We are looking for a candidate who can significantly contribute to the end-user experience, standardize our systems and practices, and demonstrate a passion for AV technology.

This position is also crucial in representing unified communications (UC) and audio-visual (AV) interests across Corporate IT, collaborating with PMO, Corporate Services, Information Security, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will not only be a team player but will also exhibit leadership qualities, critical thinking, and curiosity in problem-solving, contributing to a solution-oriented environment while maintaining effective communication.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated IT AV Support experience interfacing with end-users to resolve technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and enhance related processes.
  • Experience in troubleshooting AV systems, providing end-user training, and offering technical support for corporate events.
  • Experience in large-scale rollouts, deploying/installing new solutions, and improving operational workflows.
  • Strong understanding of modern AV fundamentals, signal flow, network protocols, and IT administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • 4+ years as an audio-visual technician/specialist in a corporate enterprise or AV integration company.
  • Proven L2 troubleshooting capabilities for corporate AV systems, including diagnosis, remediation/escalation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to navigate admin tools and configure/test changes for both hardware systems and related SaaS platforms.
  • Experience in opening new offices, managing AV integrators in design meetings, and performing system commissioning.
  • Familiarity with AV design, CAD drawings, and the ability to illustrate ideas visually.
  • Proven ability to scale new processes and create efficiencies, leading efforts to improve workflows and conduct operational training.
  • Demonstrated L3 ability to plan mitigation for systemic problems and drive new solutions/enhancements at scale.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS as it pertains to corporate AV systems, including imaging/provisioning and log capturing.
  • Knowledge of QSYS and Logitech products, including internal settings, firmware installation, and code uploads.
  • Familiarity with MS Teams, MTR, and Appspace admin roles.
  • Relevant certifications and/or advanced degrees are advantageous.

Additional Information:
Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements: This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be performed in an office environment, requiring the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and operate standard office equipment.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $87,800.00 and $124,100.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary based on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
