Position Summary:
The Corporate IT – Workplace Technology division is in search of an Audio-Visual Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of conference rooms and specialized AV systems centered around MS Teams. Our goal is to enhance the employee experience by modernizing video conferencing solutions for a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities:
This role primarily supports the US-West region from our San Francisco office, contributing to the establishment of global AV standards. The ideal candidate will manage escalated AV issues, assist in solution design, participate in office buildouts, engage in AV research and development, and provide essential support within our global support framework. Enhancing efficiency, service delivery, and user experience is a critical expectation. We seek a candidate who can significantly impact the end-user experience, standardize systems and practices, and demonstrate a passion for AV technology.

This position will also play a crucial role in representing unified communications (UC) and audio-visual (AV) initiatives across Corporate IT, collaborating with PMO, Corporate Services, Information Security, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders. We are looking for someone who not only excels in teamwork but also exhibits leadership qualities, critical thinking, and curiosity in problem-solving, contributing to a solution-oriented culture while maintaining effective communication.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time, on-site role requiring employees to work from the office five days a week.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated IT AV support experience with end-users, addressing technical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and optimizing related processes.
  • Experience in troubleshooting AV systems, providing end-user training, and supporting corporate events.
  • Proven track record in large-scale rollouts, deploying/installing new solutions, and enhancing operational workflows.
  • Strong understanding of modern AV principles, signal flow, network protocols, and IT administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • 4+ years as an audio-visual technician/specialist in a corporate environment or AV integration company.
  • Proficient in L2 troubleshooting of corporate AV systems, including diagnosis, remediation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to navigate admin tools and configure/test changes for hardware systems and related SaaS platforms.
  • Experience in opening new offices, managing AV integrators during design meetings, and performing system commissioning.
  • Familiarity with AV design, CAD drawings, and interpreting schematics.
  • Experience in streamlining processes and creating efficiencies, leading efforts to improve workflows and conduct operational training.
  • Ability to address deep-rooted systemic issues and drive new solutions/enhancements at scale.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS as it pertains to corporate AV systems, including imaging/provisioning and log capturing.
  • Familiarity with QSYS and Logitech products, including internal settings and firmware updates.
  • Understanding of MS Teams, MTR, and Appspace admin roles.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are advantageous.

Travel Requirements: This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be performed in an office setting, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
