Role Overview:

The Corporate IT - Workplace Technology team is seeking an Audio-Visual Systems Engineer to assist in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of conference rooms and specialized AV systems, primarily centered around MS Teams. Our goal is to enhance the employee experience by modernizing video conferencing systems for a hybrid work environment. We are committed to ensuring secure and effective real-time collaboration for all Visa employees and partners, while also pushing the boundaries of technology to shape the future of hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the US-West region from the San Francisco office and contribute to the establishment of global AV standards.
  • Address escalated AV issues, assist in solution design, and participate in office buildouts and AV research and development.
  • Enhance efficiency, service delivery, and the overall end-user experience.
  • Represent unified communications (UC) and audio-visual (AV) interests across Corporate IT, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while maintaining effective communication.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT AV support, including interfacing with end-users to resolve technical issues.
  • Experience in troubleshooting AV systems, providing end-user training, and supporting corporate events.
  • Proven experience in large-scale rollouts and improving operational workflows.
  • Strong understanding of modern AV principles, signal flow, network protocols, and IT administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in data analysis and report generation.
  • A minimum of 4 years as an audio-visual technician/specialist in a corporate environment or AV integration firm.
  • Proficient in L2 troubleshooting of corporate AV systems and system administration tasks.
  • Experience in managing AV integrators during design meetings and system commissioning.
  • Familiarity with AV design, CAD drawings, and visual communication of ideas.
  • Ability to scale processes and create efficiencies while leading operational training efforts.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS as it pertains to corporate AV systems.
  • Familiarity with QSYS and Logitech products, as well as MS Teams and related administrative roles.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are advantageous.

Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (5-10%) may be necessary.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This role will be performed in an office environment, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
