Position Overview:
The Collections Platform and Configurations Organization at T-Mobile is in search of a Manager with the following qualifications:

  • Proficient in leading a team of technical professionals within an agile development framework.
  • Skilled in defining business and technical requirements, designing at a technical level, and executing strategies in collections decision engines.
  • Experienced in resource planning for enterprise projects, with a strong grasp of project deliverables, timelines, and budget management.
  • Adept in quality assurance and user acceptance testing protocols, with familiarity in JIRA.
  • Capable of preparing materials and presenting information to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a team to drive results by providing clear direction, timely feedback, and coaching, along with conducting performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and assess work tasks to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
  • Recruit and onboard qualified team members to enhance T-Mobile's capabilities.
  • Encourage an environment where team members proactively identify issues and develop optimal solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in technical practices across various disciplines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business teams and vendors to implement improvement strategies and address business-critical issues.
  • Instill best practices for software development and documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with leadership and support teams, facilitating effective collaboration.
  • Manage multiple product backlogs and priorities, ensuring alignment with business initiatives and technology strategies.
  • Oversee application implementations by analyzing existing systems, customizing products, and developing procedures for successful installations.
  • Identify areas for improvement, make informed decisions, and collaborate with subject matter experts to implement solutions.
  • Communicate business strategies and challenges effectively to inspire action within the team.
  • Maintain a holistic view of challenges impacting the business, creatively defining solutions that encompass technical, functional, and policy considerations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of industry experience in technical deployments and process flows.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience managing high-performing teams.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and articulating complex ideas clearly at the executive level.
  • Proficient presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of strategic frameworks and industry trends.
  • Medium to advanced knowledge of scripting tools (Python, SQL, HTML, Perl).
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and automation frameworks (Selenium, Junit, TestNG, Cucumber).
  • Knowledge of federal compliance regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI, CPNI).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Asana, Rally).
  • Technology experience in delivering large-scale business and technology initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI and automation technologies is a plus.

Work Environment:
Employees in regular, non-temporary roles may be eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentives based on their role and performance.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this role is $112,500 - $202,900, with a corporate bonus target of 15%. Actual pay will vary based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.
