The Position:

The Risk Management team at SoFi plays a crucial role in aligning growth in lending and member-related activities with the company's risk appetite. This team oversees a comprehensive range of risks, including enterprise, credit, deposit products, fraud prevention, portfolio management, infrastructure, and operational risks. Additionally, the team manages enterprise partnerships, ensures compliance with regulations, and serves as a robust second line of defense in business operations oversight, all while fostering a member-first experience.

The Manager of Enterprise Third Party Risk Governance will collaborate with internal business units to lead the onboarding, due diligence assessments, ongoing monitoring, and control activities within the Supplier Risk Management Program for SoFi Technologies and its subsidiaries, encompassing both domestic and international partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Supplier Lifecycle phase activities managed by the Third Party Risk Governance group, including due diligence, ongoing monitoring, supplier approvals, and termination management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication related to the Supplier ecosystem.
  • Assess suppliers to evaluate risk posture and potential exposures during onboarding and throughout the engagement.
  • Manage the execution of third-party risk assessments at onboarding and throughout the relationship.
  • Drive the response and resolution of internal and external audit inquiries and examinations.
  • Handle program escalations, exceptions, and non-compliance events in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Define, measure, and monitor the progress of Supplier Risk Management activities, including issue tracking and risk remediation efforts.
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise education initiatives to enhance outsourced risk awareness and adherence to the Supplier Risk Management Program.
  • Design controls to improve the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.
  • Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) to ensure consistent program oversight across the supplier ecosystem.
  • Create reporting materials that detail program oversight activities, supplier ecosystem health, and KRIs/KPIs for various executive management committees.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in second line third-party risk management within the financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Third Party Risk Management methodologies, risk mitigation principles, and regulatory expectations relevant to the financial services industry.
  • Experience in designing and implementing third-party risk governance frameworks in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ability to provide consultation, insights, and guidance aligned with business needs and strategic objectives in third-party risk management.
Compensation and Benefits:

The base pay range for this role is listed below. The final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $121,000 - $228,000.00
