The Position:

The Risk Management team at SoFi is dedicated to ensuring that our growth in lending and member-related activities aligns with our risk appetite. This team manages a comprehensive array of risks, including enterprise, credit, deposit products, fraud prevention, portfolio management, and operational risks. The Manager of Enterprise Third Party Risk Governance will collaborate with internal business units to oversee the onboarding, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and control activities of the Supplier Risk Management Program for SoFi Technologies and its subsidiaries, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Supplier Lifecycle activities managed by the Third Party Risk Governance group, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring, supplier approvals, and termination management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication forums related to the Supplier ecosystem.
  • Assess suppliers to evaluate their risk posture and potential exposures during onboarding and throughout the engagement.
  • Manage third-party risk assessment execution during onboarding and throughout the engagement.
  • Address internal and external audit inquiries and examinations effectively.
  • Handle program escalations, exceptions, and non-compliance events in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Define, measure, and monitor the progress of Supplier Risk Management activities, including issue tracking and risk remediation efforts.
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise education campaigns to enhance awareness of outsourced risk and adherence to the Supplier Risk Management Program.
  • Design controls to enhance the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.
  • Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) to ensure consistent oversight across the supplier ecosystem.
  • Create reporting materials that detail program oversight activities, supplier ecosystem health, and KRIs/KPIs for various executive management committees.

What You Will Do:

  • Make data-driven decisions by designing and conducting supplier risk assessments and developing tier-based mitigation strategies.
  • Leave your mark through effective management of supplier approvals and clear communication of program metrics and assessment results.
  • Provide effective challenge by reviewing, monitoring, and testing internal controls and procedures related to products, services, customers, and operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance SoFi's risk posture by understanding business objectives and influencing solution strategies.
  • Act as a Risk Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a self-directed, collaborative manner with business units and stakeholders to improve processes and controls.
  • Drive performance outcomes by monitoring the risk and control environment to maintain acceptable exposure levels through issue monitoring and oversight of remediation actions.
What You Will Need:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in second-line third-party risk management within the financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Third Party Risk Management methodologies, risk mitigation principles, and regulatory expectations in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in designing and operating third-party risk governance frameworks in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • The ability to provide consultation, insight, and guidance based on business needs and strategic objectives in third-party risk management.
Compensation and Benefits:

The base pay range for this role is provided below. The final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $121,000 - $228,000.00
