Position Overview

Role Summary:

As the Vice President of Sales and Corporate Alliances, you will spearhead the formulation and execution of a holistic strategy aimed at enhancing Corporate Alliances and sales initiatives to boost non-dues revenue while cultivating advantageous partnerships for the association, its members, and external organizations. This role is pivotal in managing and nurturing commercial relationships to optimize the value derived from marketable assets, including the ASHA brand and various promotional opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Development: Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and corporate alliance framework. Collaborate on pricing models, product introductions, and market positioning. Provide insights on emerging market trends to enhance marketing and sales performance, share competitive intelligence, and facilitate strategic deal closures.

Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead the negotiation process, structure partnership agreements, and ensure adherence to established terms. Maintain ongoing relationships to maximize mutual benefits.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Drive initiatives to educate staff, volunteers, and partner organizations on the synergistic benefits of integrating corporate alliances into organizational strategies. Work closely with internal teams to achieve shared objectives.

Revenue Generation: Achieve or surpass revenue goals through the development and implementation of innovative programs.

Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and engagement.

Team Leadership: Lead a dynamic team, ensuring that team members have the necessary support and resources to meet their objectives. Promote collaboration to enhance sales effectiveness.

Reporting Structure:

The position reports directly to the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer and interacts with key internal stakeholders, including the CEO, Marketing and Sales team, Finance, and other departments associated with products and services. External contacts primarily include corporate executives, marketing leaders, program directors, and other key decision-makers.

Autonomy:

The role operates with broad guidance and objectives, allowing significant discretion in determining approaches, procedures, and methodologies to fulfill responsibilities. Tasks may be performed independently or collaboratively.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on sales, marketing, or related fields is preferred. A proven history of successfully developing and managing corporate partnerships, with 7-10 years of experience in partnership, sponsorship sales, and development is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

Demonstrated strong sales acumen, excellent strategic planning capabilities, and superior communication and presentation skills. A solid track record in corporate relationship management and deal closure is required. Strong writing and organizational skills, along with effective negotiation abilities, are essential. Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.

Non-Technical Skills:

Strong project management skills, individual initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders. Results-oriented with a focus on achieving or exceeding revenue targets. A curious mindset with a willingness to explore new opportunities and innovative concepts is valued. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail are necessary.
