Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily routes by establishing an efficient calling pattern for accounts. Conduct thorough analyses of the account base by visiting each location, identifying opportunities, and ensuring compliance with national account standards. Deliver compelling sales presentations that align the company’s priorities with customer needs, including new product placements and promotional strategies. Maintain optimal product levels by performing inventory checks and restocking shelves as permitted. Provide training seminars to account staff on priority brands to enhance product knowledge. Oversee customer account receivables by processing credits and returns promptly and maintaining communication regarding aged receivables. Address customer needs by delivering products in special circumstances and resolving issues, escalating them to management when necessary. Meet sales and merchandising targets effectively. Develop strategies to achieve objectives by understanding pricing and product programming on a monthly basis and maintaining accurate purchase history. Collaborate with management on inventory levels by monitoring stock situations and alerting them to potential demand fluctuations. Achieve performance standards by meeting distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management. Ensure brand visibility within accounts by adhering to management standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials. Collect payments from accounts where permissible to support company cash flow. Assist in opening new accounts by coordinating initial orders with the Field Sales Manager. Engage in supplier collaborations through sales calls and promotional events. Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of sales experience. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software, including presentation tools. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or as part of a team, and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Must be at least 21 years old. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with proof of insurance are required.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers. Must be able to reach overhead, squat, and bend. Ability to lift and carry 45-65 pounds.
