Position Overview: The Field Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all facets of field service activities within a designated area. This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing staffing, fostering employee growth, and contributing to the achievement of revenue and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Branch Manager or Regional Manager to coordinate the efforts of all Technicians in the area, ensuring effective supervision and support of their assignments.
  • Optimize Technician assignments to enhance customer service, leverage individual skills, and reduce travel time.
  • Facilitate training for Technicians in both technical competencies and documentation processes, while overseeing significant operational decisions.
  • Monitor and manage field service expenses, vehicle maintenance costs, and service reports to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Implement and uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and practices.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding personnel status, productivity, and service-related developments.
  • Proactively address customer inquiries and needs, ensuring a professional representation of the company and nurturing customer relationships.
  • Lead and execute major service tasks, including overhauls, installations, startups, and diagnostics across various OEMs.
  • Educate and demonstrate proper procedures for equipment handling and maintenance.
  • Identify and mitigate unsafe practices to protect personnel and the environment.
  • Encourage a culture of safety and compliance within the team.

Supervisory Duties:

Directly and indirectly manage employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work tasks.
  • Evaluating performance and addressing employee concerns.
  • Providing leadership and guidance for field service operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with advanced vocational training.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certifications in specific OEM training.
  • Proficient in using standard office software and able to learn company-specific applications.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to perform complex service tasks independently.
  • Knowledge of compressor systems and their operational principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires regular physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and handling equipment. The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.

Work Environment: Employees may encounter mechanical hazards and adverse weather while performing their duties.
