WATER OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Role Responsibilities

The selected Water Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of water treatment facilities, ensuring that operational and expansion projects are executed within budget while adhering to customer and environmental health and safety standards, as well as internal protocols for effective treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Promoting a robust safety culture across the regional service line.
  • Managing the financial performance of multiple treatment facilities within the area.
  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, both internal and external.
  • Supporting various sites to consistently meet water quality standards.
  • Collaborating with regional administrative teams to guarantee timely and accurate information flow regarding customer, vendor, and employee transactions.
  • Providing support for regional sales initiatives.
  • Working with Treatment Management to confirm that facilities meet current and future operational needs.
  • Building and maintaining direct relationships with clients at the regional level.
  • Communicating the company’s plans, strategies, and philosophies to regional personnel to ensure alignment.
  • Delivering detailed weekly reports to Treatment Management concerning ongoing and future operations and financial metrics for the regional service line.
  • Collaborating with Business Unit VPs to maximize market penetration and profitability across all service lines in the region.
  • Overseeing personnel planning and development at the site level.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of water treatment processes and related equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both computer and mechanical/electrical issues.
  • Proficient mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with common software applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility to operate a company vehicle per insurance guidelines.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Self-awareness and initiative are crucial for this position.
  • Knowledge of effective communication principles for presenting expectations to management and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a climate-controlled environment.
