Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations:

  • Provide insights to upper management regarding plant efficiency and areas for system enhancements.
  • Oversee stock management to ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, ensuring compliance with all necessary functions.
  • Lead accounts receivable management, emphasizing collection strategies and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations as dictated by governing bodies and internal policies.
  • Coordinate maintenance of the fleet, safety documentation, and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Organize the scheduling and dispatching of drivers and service personnel.
  • Assist with fuel dispensing, delivery operations, and technician tasks as required.
  • Implement safety programs in collaboration with the Safety Director.

Team Management:

  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring effective training for new hires.
  • Manage operational tasks, team meetings, development initiatives, and reporting as necessary.
  • Design and oversee training schedules for plant personnel.
  • Ensure compliance among office staff with company policies regarding financial practices and record management.
  • Promote a collaborative and ethical workplace, adhering to all organizational guidelines.

Client Relations:

  • Address customer concerns by identifying problems, selecting appropriate solutions, and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Aim for positive customer feedback and ensure timely, professional responses to inquiries.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and effective problem-solving.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a talent for motivating and guiding a team.
  • Capability to obtain necessary certifications to ensure plant success.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to handle sensitive matters.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of management experience, particularly in fields such as plumbing or mechanics; or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CDL-A with hazmat and tanker endorsements is preferred.
Physical and Behavioral Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, work on a computer, and occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Regularly lift and handle materials and equipment weighing between 20-80 pounds.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening and background checks.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, gases, and airborne particles in outdoor settings.
