Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

At SOME, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Property Manager in achieving the organization's objectives and preserving the value of the property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect rent, security deposits, and miscellaneous income on behalf of the property and maintain accurate files on all related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the social services leasing intake team to maintain a current and accurate waitlist.
  • Ensure residents adhere to all provisions of the Lease and community rules, utilizing the rental policy for rent collection procedures.
  • Complete Tax Credit move-in certifications and re-certification in a timely manner, sending reminder notices as needed.
  • Inspect and show units, prepare lease packages, perform lease orientations, and submit relevant documentation to DCHA.
  • Enter work orders in Angus, review and track progress of service orders, and handle maintenance requests.
  • Assist in preparing for inspections and audits.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Associates' degree in a related field (Business Administration, Real Estate, or Public Administration preferable) or equivalent knowledge.
  • 1+ year of related work experience in Property Management.
  • LIHTC certification is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a vehicle and valid driver's license with an insurable driving record history.
Working Conditions:

The Assistant Property Manager will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one late shift from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The position is designated as Safety Sensitive, and the employee may be subject to drug testing prior to or during employment.
