Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the effective management of multiple properties, ensuring professionalism and efficiency.
  • Travel as necessary using a personal vehicle, maintaining a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Facilitate seamless move-in and move-out processes, including overseeing key preparation and completing required documentation.
  • Process security deposit refunds post-move-out, adhering to all legal timelines.
  • Manage collection efforts for qualified tenants after move-out.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve common household and building issues, providing timely updates to residents.
  • Coordinate and participate in onsite vendor meetings, ensuring proper communication with residents.
  • Market properties effectively to attract new residents through various channels.
  • Oversee leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, conducting apartment showings, and managing lease agreements, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to move-in.
  • Analyze market trends and leasing traffic to make informed pricing recommendations in partnership with management.
  • Uphold Fair Housing guidelines while fostering a culturally aware environment that accommodates diverse groups.
  • Participate actively in meetings, ensuring effective communication to meet client goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, external clients, and internal stakeholders, addressing any tenant conflicts as necessary.
  • Post applicable notices in compliance with legal requirements as directed by management.
  • Maintain high levels of communication, responding promptly to tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform office administrative tasks, including mail management, organization, and vendor coordination.
  • Oversee phone communications, ensuring efficient message distribution and response.
  • Manage online platforms for Peak Living, including responding to reviews and updating the website.
  • Assist with utility account setups and bookkeeping tasks, including rent receipting and accounts payable.
  • Prepare and submit accurate company invoicing throughout the month.
  • Ensure the accuracy of general ledger activities and report discrepancies to management.
  • Monitor accounts payable and communicate with vendors promptly.
  • Handle coin collection and deposits as needed.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a related field; exceptions may be made for strong candidates.
  • Some college education is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, and project management tools.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt and remain flexible.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Access to a vehicle for work-related travel, with gas mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or certification in accounting or a related business field.
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with property management software such as Appfolio and Quickbooks.
