**Position Overview: Maintenance Operations Supervisor**

The primary objective of this role is to fulfill strategic business requirements through a focus on process safety, support for capital projects, and optimization of processes and products. This position plays a crucial role in driving continuous innovation in processes by fostering robust relationships with the Maintenance Team and enhancing reliability through strategic cost management.

The Dispersions & Resins division at BASF develops, manufactures, and markets a diverse array of high-quality resins, additives, colorants, and polymer dispersions globally. These essential materials are utilized in formulations for coatings, paints, printing, packaging, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiber bonding, nonwovens, and paper production. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and required EHS/regulatory training, promoting safe working practices and behaviors among personnel.
  • Act as a Level 1 Troubleshooting expert for critical maintenance tasks, possessing a comprehensive understanding of all maintenance crafts.
  • Guide crafts on essential maintenance tasks and conduct quality checks on completed work.
  • Oversee compliance with weekly schedules and enhance work execution productivity, as measured by Time-on-Tools.
  • Ensure timely completion of notifications and work orders, including identifying and entering failure cause codes.
  • Maintain and update equipment files, procedures, and drawings, including P&IDs and loop drawings.
  • Manage maintenance repair costs within budget and develop continuous improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications:**

_Education:_

+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Maintenance-related fields, coupled with demonstrable experience in maintenance within the chemical industry.

_Experience:_

+ Over 5 years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refinery settings.

+ Preferred experience in batch plant operations.

_Knowledge and Skills:_

+ Advanced knowledge of maintenance programs and concepts, including Risk-Based Management and legal inspection requirements.

+ Flexibility to support critical breakdowns and attend to maintenance needs outside regular hours.

+ Strong self-motivation, leadership, communication, and networking skills, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to instrumentation, rotating equipment, and electrical systems.

+ Practical experience in plant troubleshooting.

+ Commitment to fostering a safe and efficient workplace.

+ Excellent collaborative skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
