The intern will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities across different environments, including:

  • Monitoring and enhancing chemical plant safety and environmental standards.
  • Assisting in process operations, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Implementing technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Key Areas of Focus:

The operations division encompasses several critical areas:

  • Manufacturing: Involves direct support for production processes.
  • Technical Expertise & Support: Provides guidance on technical challenges.
  • Environmental, Health, & Safety Operations: Ensures compliance with safety regulations.
  • Emergency Services & Security: Maintains safety protocols and emergency readiness.

Internship Tracks:

Students can choose between two tracks:

  • Internship Track: A single term commitment available during any academic term.
  • Alternating Term Co-op Track: A three-term commitment alternating between academic studies and practical work experience.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering, with a strong academic record and excellent communication skills. Previous internship experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Commitment:

Applicants must be willing to relocate as necessary and have reliable transportation to job sites, which are not accessible via public transport.
