We are in search of an IT Senior Developer I to enhance our expanding Enterprise Services division within the Information Technology (IT) department. Our IT team operates with expertise, delivering essential services that empower our clients to meet their financial objectives. We strive to simplify solutions, align resources with strategic goals, and continuously enhance our skills, processes, and IT capabilities. The selected candidate will face complex challenges and will be rewarded for their contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Senior Developer I, you will be integral to our Enterprise Services team. This role requires a proactive individual who will champion the adoption of new standards, processes, and best practices in microservices development. A thought leader with exceptional communication skills, you will engage with various organizational sectors and lead collaborative sessions to expedite the transition of API/Service development to cloud environments. The following activities will be key to modernizing our API/Services development:

  • Design and Development: Construct microservices systems utilizing programming languages such as C# (.NET Core), and leverage Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure App Services. Transition legacy .NET applications into cloud-native microservices architecture.
  • API Management: Create REST API services adhering to OpenAPI specifications and integrate them with Azure API Gateway.
  • Containerization: Implement containerization of microservices using Docker and deploy them on AKS or Azure App Services.
  • Authentication and Authorization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish OAuth2.0 and JWT for secure inter-service communication.
  • Scalability and Resilience: Enhance microservices for optimal performance, scalability, and high availability.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Work with teams to develop monitoring and logging solutions utilizing Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in C# and .NET Core.
  • Strong analytical skills and a collaborative work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Azure services (AKS, Azure App Services, API Gateway).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB).

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with microservice architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Comprehensive understanding of web services, networking, and identity/access management.
  • Experience managing production workloads in Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Azure Functions for serverless computing.
