Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the retail sector, is in search of a Lead Android Software Engineer to enhance their development team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting code evaluations and ensuring adherence to the organization's quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough code reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Mentor team members to foster continuous professional development.
- Assist in resolving complex technical issues and debugging challenges.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to the development team.
- Act as a technical authority during discovery sessions, offering insights and direction.
- Communicate the architectural vision effectively to the team.
- Ensure alignment in technical decisions among developers.
- Serve as the primary technical contact to streamline communication and minimize distractions.
- Represent the team in technical discussions and ensure knowledge sharing.
- Manage assigned GitHub repositories, supporting the branching strategy and pull requests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements.
- Work closely with the architecture team to align on overall design solutions.
- Lead technical discussions during planning sessions.
- Act as a liaison for technical inquiries.
- Utilize paired programming techniques to develop code and automated acceptance tests.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure code and tests meet functional requirements.
- Uphold the organization’s standards for code quality, employing best practices in design and coding.


Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the United States.
- Proficiency in modern Android libraries and tools.
- Expertise in Kotlin and CoRoutines.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and SDK Development.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and secure development practices.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
