Through our programs, children cultivate qualities such as vulnerability, persistence, and curiosity while discovering new opportunities. An additional benefit of our efforts is enhanced confidence and academic involvement.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

CollabClubs grant youth access to all three of our signature initiatives. Families can enroll their children for mentoring, literacy assistance, and participation in various academic clubs. As a member of the site staff, you will support the CollabClub Site Leader in daily programming and supervision of youth at the designated location.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Ensure appropriate staff-to-youth ratios and effective supervision
  • Assist in the planning and execution of social-emotional learning activities
  • Support the implementation of the provided literacy curriculum
  • Help facilitate the curriculum for scheduled academic clubs
  • Assist in conducting required assessments and track results accurately
  • Collect and maintain accurate site attendance records
  • Foster relationships and maintain communication with families enrolled at the site
  • Build and nurture relationships with youth at assigned locations

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The Summer Learning Collaborative seeks enthusiastic and dedicated educators who are passionate about motivating youth to learn and develop. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and receptive to constructive feedback, eager to enhance their educational practices. Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential, along with the ability to address challenges effectively. Experience working with children is required, with a preference for those who have worked with grades K-8. The ideal candidate embodies a growth mindset, believes in student-centered learning, and is committed to igniting a passion for learning in program participants.

COMPENSATION AND WORK SCHEDULE

This is a year-round position with varied hours depending on the season. During the academic year, work hours are typically early morning and late afternoon. There will also be opportunities for work during school closures and holidays. Compensation for CollabClub Enrichment Staff ranges from $15 to $20 per hour. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of background checks, training, and health appraisals as required.
