The Summer Learning Collaborative, Inc. is dedicated to creating engaging youth programs that inspire children to embrace learning, engage in creative play, and recognize their individual strengths. Our hallmark initiatives, including Tyler's Camp, Literacy Corps, Community Mentor Network, and Collaborative Clubs, offer enriching experiences and activities aimed at bridging educational gaps in underserved communities. Our focus is on fostering self-esteem, self-exploration, and meaningful connections among participants. Through our programs, children develop qualities such as vulnerability, persistence, and curiosity while discovering new opportunities. A beneficial outcome of this work is enhanced confidence, academic involvement, and overall performance.
ROLE SUMMARY
CollabClubs grant youth access to all three of our signature initiatives. Families will have the chance for their children to receive mentoring, literacy assistance, and/or engage in various academic clubs. As a member of the site staff, you will support the CollabClub Site Leader in executing daily programming and supervising youth at the designated location.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-youth ratios and oversee youth supervision
- Assist in designing and implementing social-emotional learning activities
- Support the planning and execution of the provided literacy curriculum
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of scheduled academic club curricula
- Assist in conducting all necessary assessments and ensure accurate tracking of outcomes
- Collect and maintain accurate site attendance records in Procare
- Foster and maintain communication with families enrolled at the site
- Build and nurture relationships with youth at assigned locations
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The Summer Learning Collaborative seeks enthusiastic and dedicated educators who are passionate about inspiring youth to learn and develop. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and receptive to constructive feedback, eager to enhance their practices as an educator. Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential, along with the ability to address challenges effectively. Experience working with children is mandatory, with a preference for those who have worked with grades K-8. The ideal candidate possesses a growth mindset, a firm belief in student-centered education, and a commitment to igniting excitement for learning among program participants. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications as per the Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing.

COMPENSATION AND WORKING HOURS
This is a year-round position with varied hours depending on the season. During the school year, working hours will typically be from early morning to late afternoon, with some flexibility for school closure days and holidays. During summer operations, hours will generally fall between morning and late afternoon. CollabClub Enrichment Staff are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $15 to $20. All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of required background checks, training, and health appraisals as mandated by OCCL.
