Job Summary:

The Logistics Support Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the international logistics operations, focusing on critical administrative and operational tasks. This role requires a foundational understanding of both domestic and international logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and process invoices from third-party transportation and service providers to ensure compliance with service agreements and quotations.
  • Monitor the timeliness of documentation submissions, ensuring accuracy and quality of data entry.
  • Confirm through account statements that payments to third-party providers remain up to date.
  • Address inquiries from service providers regarding payment discrepancies, including invoice issues and payment disputes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of purchase orders related to shipping and import documentation.
  • Extract and analyze reports from various data sources as required by management.
  • Promptly gather and supply necessary documents to relevant service providers, including shipment delivery orders and invoices, to ensure timely delivery of all import shipments.
  • Carefully track reports from freight forwarders to guarantee data accuracy and quality.
  • Assist with additional tasks such as tracking shipments, coordinating container deliveries, and obtaining freight quotes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Logistics Analyst to ensure precise reporting of shipment statuses and costs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export logistics.
  • Solid understanding of import logistics processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to integrate professional experience, processes, and systems to effectively support both internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in resolving common shipping challenges.
  • Capable of working independently and in a virtual setting.
  • Demonstrates integrity, a sense of urgency, meticulous attention to detail, and proactivity.
