Job Summary:

The Fleet Operations Specialist will serve as the primary liaison for employees utilizing company vehicles, delivery vehicles, and suppliers providing vehicle support services, including negotiations and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct customer service for Poolcorp and its subsidiaries, managing all road assets, assigned vehicles, and warehouse equipment.
  • Oversee the asset maintenance program, developing and maintaining distinct programs for all Poolcorp assets, including light-duty and medium to heavy-duty vehicles, as well as material handling equipment.
  • Evaluate all maintenance events for potential cost-saving opportunities regarding the approval or denial of proposed maintenance work.
  • Establish and maintain vendor performance metrics and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures while educating drivers and Pool employees on best practices for vehicle use.
  • Guarantee compliance of all vehicles with local, state, and USDOT regulations.
  • Conduct analysis of fleet data to identify cost-saving measures, cost avoidance strategies, and opportunities for fleet enhancements.
  • Perform routine audits in the telematics database to rectify any anomalies, particularly those related to telematics non-communication.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of business experience, ideally in customer service, finance, business, auditing, transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with company car, truck fleets, or material handling is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • ASE Certification is a plus.
