Position Overview:

The Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for assisting users with desktop support and performing minor administrative tasks related to company servers and specialized equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy desktop and laptop systems in line with established configurations
  • Install and upgrade software on user systems, including operating system updates
  • Maintain records of IT assets allocated to users
  • Collaborate with end users to understand their computing requirements and ensure their systems meet their needs
  • Monitor systems for compliance with established IT policies
  • Create and manage user accounts across various systems
  • Backup and restore user data and profiles as needed
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on end-user systems

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in troubleshooting techniques

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Up to two years of experience in system and network administration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • May require working irregular hours during emergencies
