Job Overview

Position Summary: This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the strategic human resources and organizational initiatives at the executive level. Key responsibilities encompass organizational design and effectiveness, staffing and sourcing requirements, performance management programs, talent development, compensation oversight, cultural transformation, policy compliance auditing, and effective communication delivery. The HR Manager is a vital member of the leadership team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior management on organizational and personnel matters, leading by example.
  • Continuously seek enhancements in the efficiency and effectiveness of HR functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and safeguarding the organization.
  • Foster and cultivate the company culture by aligning HR policies with the organization’s vision and core values.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all staff levels to provide feedback to senior management on various issues and concerns.
  • Encourage a high-performance work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop an effective recruitment, selection, and onboarding strategy that meets business needs, including:
    • Assessing staffing needs
    • Implementing recruitment practices and methods
    • Managing the selection process
    • Facilitating job offers and onboarding
    • Acting as the primary contact for external recruitment
    • Focusing on attracting diverse talent and building organizational strength.
  • Work with senior management to create and manage total compensation structures and programs, identifying strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Evaluate and market price jobs based on industry data and other relevant factors, recommending appropriate bonus programs and incentives.
  • Develop and manage employee benefit packages, initiating and overseeing wellness programs.
  • Lead talent management and performance management initiatives, including:
    • Mentoring managers on performance management processes
    • Consulting on training and development needs
    • Overseeing formal performance review processes
    • Executing talent management processes, including succession planning and leadership development.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and manage employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Handle complex employment situations with emotional intelligence, interacting effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Manage sensitive workplace investigations, determining strategies, leading interviews, and providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Respond to employee complaints and manage accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
  • Promote understanding of company policies and relevant employment laws through training and presentations.
  • Review and update the employee handbook annually, ensuring consistency in policy enforcement.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the organization, keeping staff informed of changes in policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive public relations with community organizations and government representatives.
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Engage in professional development to ensure continuous growth in the HR field.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR practices and state and federal employment laws.
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple HR functions, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with ADP systems.
