Strategic Leader for Graduate Programs and Research

Job Summary:
The Associate Vice Chancellor serves as the chief administrative and strategic officer for Graduate Studies and Grants & Research at UW Green Bay. This position provides leadership for programs by establishing strategic direction and setting priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct supervision of program leadership and monitors compliance with laws and regulations.
- Advises and collaborates with the Provost on critical issues, represents the functional area at meetings and events, and serves on and/or leads various program and/or university committees.
- Monitors ongoing assessment and continuous improvement of programs and services by guiding the establishment of annual goals, ensuring progress towards goals, articulating challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations.
- Leads special initiatives and/or grant-funded programs with respect to program design, planning, coordination, and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Builds consensus and develops collegial, collaborative working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, partners with administrative and academic departments to support initiatives, and gathers input from key stakeholders to support recommendations.
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring and managing conduct and performance, of the Offices of Graduate Studies and Grants & Research.
- Maintains a record of active scholarship, teaching, and/or curricular development.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- At least three years of successful leadership experience, including responsibility for and supervision of personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate
- A tenured appointment as an associate or full professor
- At least three years of successful higher education administrative experience, including responsibility for personnel and/or budgets
- Experience in graduate program and/or grants administration
- Expertise with high-impact instructional practices
Requirements:
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated integrity and strong leadership
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
