Overview

The MT Operations Team Leader is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing team performance and the effective implementation of strategic account objectives. By collaborating closely with Customer Strategy and Engagement Advisors, the Team Leader will spearhead initiatives aimed at continuous enhancement for both clients and internal efficiency. This position emphasizes the management of daily operations, providing support to team members, and fostering their professional growth through coaching and mentorship. The Team Leader will engage with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external clients, and vendors at multiple organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehends the nuances of commercial contracts, their implications for business, and ensures adherence to customer agreements and standard operating procedures.
  • Oversees key performance indicators and statement of work compliance, ensuring the creation of work instructions.
  • Delivers operational reports to clients.
  • Identifies opportunities for process enhancements and cost efficiencies using Quality Decision Making.
  • Collaborates with clients on daily operational tasks and resolves issues.
  • Partners with Strategy & Engagement Advisors and Shared Services to execute customer-specific initiatives and improvements.
  • Provides guidance, leadership, and support for projects and quarterly business reviews.
  • Engages with Shared Services to meet client expectations and uphold service quality.
  • Responsible for training and developing team members, managing performance, and planning for talent succession. Ensures effective onboarding and training programs are in place, and that team members adhere to company policies.
  • Manages resource allocation and productivity.
  • Implements staffing plans for new business onboarding.
  • Adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the logistics and transportation sector is preferred.
