We are currently in search of a Lead Cost Accounting Specialist for our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive cost evaluations across various business segments, including production expenses, overhead costs, and inventory assessments.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and propose strategies for financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to formulate and oversee annual financial plans.
- Assist in crafting financial projections and variance assessments to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Manage inventory valuation and control, ensuring precision and compliance with accounting regulations.
- Develop strategies to enhance inventory management and minimize holding costs.
- Engage with operations, supply chain, and other departments to collect data and insights for precise cost evaluations.
- Support the monthly and yearly closing processes by conducting account reconciliations and preparing necessary journal entries.
- Track financial trends and key performance indicators to uncover potential opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience as a Cost Accountant with a minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strategic mindset capable of delivering valuable insights for informed decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the capability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
