Primary Objective of the Role

The primary aim of this position is to deliver comprehensive hardware engineering assistance to the project team.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct fitting, integration, and testing of subsystems into various enclosures (such as shelters or cabins) and vehicles (including trucks).
- Manage the installation of equipment into racks and subsequently into containers.
- Oversee power management, weight distribution, and environmental considerations.
- Execute both systems-level and detailed hardware design tasks, which encompass requirements analysis and decomposition, ensuring successful verification of requirements.
- Prepare essential design documentation and facilitate factory or site installation and testing processes.
- Collaborate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, minimizing lead times, and elevating quality within the designated project.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legal, security, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support product development aligned with organizational and functional objectives.
- Deliver projects within budget and timelines, while monitoring and reporting on performance metrics.

Qualifications

- Proficient in mechanical and electrical skill sets.
- Knowledgeable about system lifecycle processes, including support for significant technical evaluations.
- Willingness to travel or work at client locations for various purposes.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptability to a diverse range of hardware tasks.
- Familiarity with power distribution and communication systems.
- Understanding of EMC/TEMPEST considerations and CE marking requirements for equipment.
- Experience in executing site installations involving desktop computers, peripherals, and software.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Proficient in PC, Server, Windows, VMS, networking, fault finding, and system configuration.
