Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Synerfac, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining various equipment, systems, and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement customer specifications for the repair, modification, or enhancement of equipment.
  • Assess the condition of machinery and identify components that can be reused, repaired, or need replacement.
  • Conduct failure analysis and generate comprehensive technical reports for clients.
  • Define the scope of work necessary to restore equipment to optimal functionality.
  • Provide calculations for the production of new gears or the refurbishment of existing ones.
  • Design, specify, and create detailed drawings of mechanical components.
  • Develop job travelers that outline the sequence of operations and detail the work required for repairs or modifications of gears, components, and machinery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design or manufacturing engineering, assembly or test supervision, or field service engineering.
  • Proven experience with mechanical power transmission and gear drives.
  • Basic understanding of fluid film and rolling element bearings, gear design, and vibration analysis is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
