ROLE OVERVIEW

At Peloton, delivering outstanding hardware is essential for enhancing customer satisfaction. We are in search of a Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to spearhead the planning and execution of significant, cross-functional initiatives. This position is situated within Hardware Product Development and reports directly to the EPM Director. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teams in Product Management, Industrial Design, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Software Development, and Manufacturing. The ideal individual possesses exceptional organizational skills and demonstrates the ability to accomplish tasks efficiently, independently, and effectively while fostering strong team dynamics.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION AT PELOTON
  • Act as the central figure ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and complete project delivery.
  • Clarify the business objectives and value associated with each initiative to all team members.
  • Define project scope and objectives: establish targets and key performance indicators, create detailed project plans, identify essential collaborators, assess risks and develop contingency strategies, and formulate a change management approach.
  • Oversee and manage program budgets and timelines for extensive projects from initial feasibility through to launch.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and address dependencies, risks, and challenges.
  • Maintain transparency by being accountable for regular updates to key stakeholders and executives regarding project and program developments and statuses.
  • Assist the team in continuously enhancing the Product Development Process.
  • Manage critical supplier relationships, including engineering suppliers, contract manufacturers, component suppliers, and freelance design and engineering professionals.
  • Coordinate daily project operations, including shipping items, unboxing and setting up prototypes, promptly responding to supplier inquiries, organizing group meetings and calls, obtaining samples, and managing all project documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PELOTON
  • Self-driven, proactive, practical, and intellectually inquisitive.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in program or product management within hardware development, including consumer electronics, fitness equipment, appliances, or automotive sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate team members.
  • Project management training, certification, or relevant experience; PMP certification is preferred.
  • Fluency in Mandarin.
  • Experience managing projects with manufacturing partners based in Asia.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Product Development Process along with a broad knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including engineers, managers, and executives.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary range for this position is between $172,100 and $223,800 USD. The actual salary offered will depend on various factors, including individual performance and business objectives.
