Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering initiatives within the facility, collaborating with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and develop appropriate designs.
  • Establish and uphold project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders regarding progress.
  • Implement safety protocols, recognized design standards, and compliance regulations in all designs and installations.
  • Utilize established practices for project phasing to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Adhere to the company's Management of Change procedures and project execution policies, including thorough documentation during project close-out.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to devise solutions for challenges and enhance production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, product quality, and process safety.
  • Assist the R&D team in identifying potential infrastructure requirements to inform budget and capital project planning.
  • Provide support throughout both project development and construction phases, assisting R&D, Technology Transfer, and Process Engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience in Engineering Project Management, particularly in pilot plant or laboratory design and construction.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience managing projects and budgets exceeding $1 million.
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Program (RMP) regulations.
  • Background in construction and/or fabrication management.
  • Knowledge of high-temperature unfired processes and handling of pyrophoric gases.

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000, complemented by a company bonus and stock options. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications, and other legitimate business considerations.
