Role Summary: This role is integral to the coordination and integration of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) specific requirements within the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) Supply Chain Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a member of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management Team, assisting acquisition managers and SCM/FMS clients.
- Support planning efforts alongside the Product Support Manager for the development of initial spare parts packages and the ongoing management of the supply chain to align with operational objectives within the authorized budget for SCM/FMS clients.
- Engage in all stages of integrated logistics support and planning throughout the lifecycle of the F-35 weapon system.
- Participate in design reviews, configuration management board discussions, and provisioning and training plan meetings.
- Assist in the creation and coordination of Supply Support Management Plans (SSMPs) with relevant stakeholders from U.S. Services and SCM/FMS clients.
- Contribute to the formulation, assessment, and justification of procurement and repair budgets.
- Oversee the timely and quality delivery of ILS element inputs and evaluate logistics supply support capabilities.
- Participate in various Logistics Review Group (LRG) audits concerning supply support as required.
- Support the monitoring of repair programs for assigned weapon system equipment/components to enhance fleet readiness and achieve Command objectives for SCM/FMS clients.
- Integrate SCM/FMS client requirements with JSF Autonomic Logistics planning and development.
- Analyze readiness statistics and other critical performance indicators from all available sources to identify trends and potential issues, coordinating actions of responsible personnel to resolve these challenges for SCM/FMS clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense projects, especially those involving foreign nations.
- Experience in acquisition logistics.
- Proficiency in applying ILS Management principles, concepts, and methodologies to complex ILS projects.
- Understanding of system acquisition principles, policies, and practices to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of system development, production, and deployment.
- Knowledge of system equipment lifecycle phases and the associated documentation, analyses, and reviews.
- Ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written presentations to various levels of government and industry management.
- Capability to interpret and understand federal laws and Department of Defense regulations related to acquisition, logistics, and foreign military sales.
- Possession of a Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for Special Access Required (SAR).
Preferred Skills:
- Strong briefing and interpersonal skills are highly valued.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the continental U.S. and internationally to various government and contractor facilities.
