Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Huhtamäki. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading capital and non-capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Formulation
    • Conduct feasibility studies and assess project requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation and risk management strategies, to ensure project execution.
  • Scope Management
    • Establish and document project scope and objectives to ensure clear understanding among stakeholders.
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and understood, and manage scope changes to ensure project deliverables align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Budget Management
    • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial forecasting, to ensure budget adherence.
    • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
    • Prepare financial reports and provide updates to management on budget status to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Schedule Management
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software to ensure timely delivery.
    • Coordinate tasks and activities to ensure project milestones are achieved, and implement schedule controls to update project timelines as necessary.
  • Implementation
    • Lead project execution by coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
    • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services, and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Commissioning
    • Plan and oversee the commissioning phase, ensuring systems and components are installed and function according to design specifications.
    • Conduct tests and inspections to validate the performance and safety of project installations, and develop and implement commissioning plans and checklists.
  • Performance Validation
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and performance criteria, and conduct performance validation and testing to confirm project objectives are met.
    • Prepare final project reports, documenting outcomes and lessons learned, to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues, and facilitate project meetings and presentations to ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement.
    • Address and resolve project-related conflicts and issues promptly to ensure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management to enhance project delivery.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team, and stay updated with industry trends, tools, and methodologies to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, with proven experience in managing capital and non-capital projects.
    • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, and excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and financial management tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the molded fiber industry.
    • 5-7 years of project management experience, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership position, and demonstrated successful project management experience.
