About the Role

Purdue University Northwest is seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join our Sponsored Programs Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of externally funded grants, ensuring the university upholds the highest standards of fiscal compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the post-award aspects of the implementation plan for the PNW Office of Research strategic plan, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Ensure grants are managed in compliance with Purdue University policies, Federal Uniform Administrative Requirements, and sponsor requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and implement post-award processes that align with federal, sponsor, and university requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant grant-related developments and policies.
  • Work with the Sponsored Programs Department to establish new accounts and manage grant-related expenses.
  • Approve all expenses on grants and manage effort reporting and other documents.
  • Monitor and resolve overdrafts, providing grant projections and reports on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the project.
  • Manage internal and external audits as needed and maintain backup documentation.

Requirements
