We are currently seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator specializing in Electrical Transmission & Distribution. This role involves the meticulous planning and coordination of construction activities to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety compliance at all times by overseeing site safety procedures and reporting any issues to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Engage in pre-construction planning, including reviewing drawings and assessing overall constructability. Conduct site inspections and ensure all necessary permits and plans are in place.
  • Monitor construction activities to confirm adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and ensure compliance with project specifications and permits.
  • Communicate effectively with construction crews, project managers, and engineering teams to address any inquiries that may affect project progress.
  • Identify and communicate material needs to the client’s Construction Manager, managing orders and inventory to prevent project delays.
  • Document daily project progress through Daily Log Reports, tracking completed activities and safety incidents.
  • Perform various additional duties such as maintaining construction drawing markups, conducting safety audits, and confirming utility locates.
  • Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant construction or maintenance experience.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test, in compliance with federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Experience in Commercial or Industrial Transmission & Distribution, with a preference for management experience.
  • Familiarity with construction prints and drawings, with a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical construction being advantageous.
  • OSHA 10-hour training and MEA-specific training are beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel as required, with travel and lodging expenses reimbursed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for site visits.
