Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Steel Fabrication Project Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing structural steel fabrication projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with detailing teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project plans and specifications.
  • RFI and Change Order Management: Finalize and manage RFI's and change orders with designers and detailers to ensure project scope and timelines are met.
  • Drawings and Models: Ensure all drawings and models are stamped and compliant with relevant building and safety codes.
  • Scope and Deliverables: Determine and define project scope and deliverables, including resources needed to complete the project.
  • Cost Management: Manage project costs to meet budget requirements.
  • Contract and Subcontract Management: Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Production Scheduling: Coordinate production schedules and requirements with the shop to ensure timely project completion.
  • Delivery and Progress Updates: Manage delivery schedules and activities, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure all work is done in compliance with relevant building and safety codes, and that quality standards are met.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Management: Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate efforts across the entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • A 2-year degree in an engineering or construction-related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, addenda, bid materials, contracts, and related construction documents, with an emphasis on structural drawings and steel shop drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent basic math and algebra skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
