Key Responsibilities:

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting utility system analyses and providing operational support to our clients. Your projects may encompass:

  • Development of system planning studies and design of protection schemes.
  • Assessment of distributed energy resource (DER) impacts and investigation of power quality issues.
  • Daily operational guidance and support for electric cooperatives, adhering to industry standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct utility studies, including long-range planning, construction work plans, and system reliability assessments.
  • Utilize engineering analysis software for electrical system modeling.
  • Provide support for power delivery design projects, including creating project maps and schematic drawings.
  • Assist in the environmental review process for electrical utility initiatives.
  • Offer daily operational assistance to our clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on technical matters.
  • Engage with clients to build and maintain relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
  • Entry-level candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with load flow and short circuit analysis software (e.g., Milsoft, CYME, PSS/E, SKM) is advantageous.
  • Experience in the electric utility sector or consulting is preferred.
