Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize extensive experience to manage industrial projects, focusing on the design of power distribution, illumination, and grounding systems.
  • Engage in projects ranging from minor facility enhancements to intricate EPC contracts for heavy industrial processes across various sectors, including pulp and paper, chemicals, food and beverage, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Travel to project and construction sites may be necessary.
  • Design electric power facilities and equipment, coordinating the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generation, receiving, and distribution stations.
  • Create conceptual layouts and sketches to optimize project designs.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop equipment and construction specifications, along with contractor scope of work documents.
  • Oversee the preparation of drawings and specify types of equipment and materials for construction and installation.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Produce work products including one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layouts, motor schematics, instrument loop sheets, and conduit routing drawings.
  • Address systems and equipment grounding requirements.
  • Provide on-site startup support.

Your Ideal Background:
The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and be eager to deliver value to clients through engineering expertise. Key qualifications include:
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and installation of medium and low-voltage distribution systems, with a background in consulting engineering and the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA).
  • Able to manage onsite projects with minimal oversight.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets while collaborating with client engineers and maintenance teams.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and proficiency in CAD systems, including AutoCAD.
  • PE license or EIT certificate preferred, with the ability to obtain a PE license.
