Job Overview

The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in the Production Engine Test Operations (PETO) at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation. This position is dedicated to overseeing all electrical systems that facilitate and support engine testing within our facilities. The engineer will be instrumental in achieving the team's performance goals, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency through effective application of Flight Deck principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Electrical Engineer for PETO, concentrating on Aeroderivative products within the GE Aerospace portfolio. This role involves managing and supervising all electrical systems associated with engine testing.
  • Apply Flight Deck fundamentals to identify, prevent, and enhance the performance of electrical systems, ensuring the test team operates effectively and delivers value to customers. Drive initiatives to prevent issues and improve operational challenges categorized as 'controls' and 'facilities electrical'.
  • Oversee all electrical testing and facility systems, including large and small electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and software across all test cells. This encompasses systems such as Mk6e, Mk6, Cimplicity, Allan Bradley, HBK, Bentley Nevada, and various coding platforms.
  • Collaborate with supporting organizations to resolve issues and foster future partnerships for knowledge sharing, including test facilities infrastructure, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills to implement departmental policies and strategies effectively.
  • Exercise judgment to propose innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes, drawing on technical expertise and analytical reasoning.
  • Act as a resource for team members, leading projects aimed at enhancing electrical test enabling and facility systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing electrical systems for engine testing is required.
